I am losing Medicaid in May 2024. I have a few short weeks to massively grow finances. My wife is a teacher and to add me to her insurance will cost $500+ a month of money we do not have. Being poor sucks. I have a chance to get on disability potentially. I am on denial four and in appeals with a trial. How can I be more patient in this extreme stressful situation?

She's working in franklinton la now and she might have been better in hammond but as now here she's been terrible! She almost let my husband die due to neglect. She is treating him like a drug addict instead of someone with liver failure due to a genetic disorder he has born with called Alpha 1. Her staff at the Thomas clinic has called and started yelling at me for 10 minutes straight before I could even get one word in. Once I was finally able to talk after being yelled at I mentioned medical gaslighting and how it's not legal and she did adjust her attitude at that point and did admit in fact they do have open appointments sooner than a month after him being in the hospital for a month due to her neglect. He could still die under her care so his specialist are helping us find another pcp for him now because they explained to us that he could die if he doesn't have the medication he's been on for years cold turkey. She said she is doing this to all patients under her care, giving them one month prescription and telling them to taper off without supervision which could kill them. I do not believe she's actually doing this to all her patients but she did say that she is. Save yourself Washington Parish, find another doctor.

My husband has been suffering from sinus trouble for a few years (mostly in winter) but we have never heard of a balloon procedure. Thank you for this information. We will look into it.

I just got a 10.4 PSA result. First PSA test in 20 years. Second test a month later was 11.2 with 16% Free PSA. I'm 67. Excellent health. No symptoms. No family history. No biking recently. Prostate is smooth and soft. No bumps or lumps. No pain when massaging or at any time. Never found any blood in urine or stool. I suppose my prostate is a little bit enlarged, but it doesn’t feel like it is much larger than a walnut. I only need to get up once in the night and the flow is decent most of the time. Sometimes there is some urgency to go, so it must be a little enlarged. Can just an enlarged prostate be the cause of a PSA as high as 10? I've been doing vigorous prostate massage for a couple of years. I thought that might have caused the high PSA. How long would one have to stop massaging to let the PSA clear the system and retest? Some say a few days. Others have said 30-40 days. What else, besides cancer can cause a 10+ PSA? Herbs? Supplements? Blockage in the spermatic cord, seminal vesicles or ejaculatory ducts? I am waiting to see the Urologist. It takes weeks to get in to see one. Thanks!

Very educational. I am 49 and got a home kit prostate cancer kit. There was a dark red line on the C and a barely visible faint line on the T. I only had the test because my dad and his brother had prostate cancer about 20 years ago. They are now both in their 80s and healthy. I am scheduled to have a “proper” PSA test next week at the hospital. I instigated all this and had not had any discussions with my GP or any other healthcare professional so I am left worried as the line next to the C is indicative of a positive result however I could only see it when shining a bright white light on it. Otherwise it is not visible. Can you please maybe theoretically explain what this might possibly mean? I could understand it if it was a clear red line against the C but it’s barely visible. I also added three drops of the buffer liquid instead of two as directed. I did the third one about 2 mins after the first two buffers as directed. Would this make any difference to the result. It was also stated that the result is not accurate after 10 minutes. Based on the information I have told you especially with not following the directions down to the t and the very barely faint line against the C on the cassette what do you think this would suggest? Thanks so much! PS my bathroom habits haven’t changed and I don’t feel pain urinating. I don’t constantly need to go to the toilet. My libido is down but I think that’s normal as we age. Labs matter. I'll be going back to original lab. There is direct connection between Covid and prostatitis and elevated PSA. Also my doctor didn't say anything about MRI which I would demand before biopsy.

Its not just the PSA number that is important, but also the rate of change from one test to the next test. That is why it's so important to start PSA testing early, and establish baselines for comparison.

Why won't the Doctors tell people about the 4k Score Blood Test? / Different than the PSA test! Some people's PSA is higher and they don't have cancer/ some have lower PSA scores and have Cancer! PSA is not accurate! Many other factors must be considered in diagnosing prostate cancer! Don't let the Doctors talk you out of the 4k SCORE BLOOD TEST!
